Hi, I’m Emma Rose Millar, I’m a single mum and a sign language interpreter and I also write historical fiction and children’s books. My first novel, Five Guns Blazing, was published by Crooked Cat Books in September 2015 and went on to win the Chaucer Award, (Legend Category) in the United States. Somebody very clever once described it as being, ‘Like Moll Flanders but with extra pirates.’

My novella, The Women Friends, co-written with Miriam Drori and based on the work of Gustav Klimt was also published by Crooked Cat Books and has been shortlisted for the Goethe Awards in the United States.

I blog about all things historical and you’ll find all my research safely tucked away in the archives. happy reading!
